Prairie Dresses: The It Fashion Trend for Fall 2018

Prairie and victorian dresses were all over NYC Fashion Week this Fall.  These high-neck, floral dresses, often with puff sleeves and ruffles have been trending for awhile, but seem to be having a major fashion moment right now.  New designers like Batsheva offering modern versions that riff on vintage pieces

At Baba Yaga we can help you achieve this look with unique vintage pieces from the early 1900's to 1980's. Here's just a few of our vintage dresses here that are still very modern and on trend for today.

We're loving this late 1800's or early 1900's calico night gown that would be amazing as an everyday dress paired with boots or even tennis shoes.  The cotton fabric is super soft the dress has a tie at hight neck and at the waist.

Another prairie dress we love is this red floral 1970's cotton maxi dress that we just got in store a week ago. The ruffle at the sleeve is amazing and such a great color too.

The 1980's was another era with a lot of great examples of prairie style. Laura Ashley was all the rage at that time and we've got some of her victorian style blouses in store as well as other puff sleeve and ruffle prairie blouses.

Or, for a more modern take on prairie we love this 1980's dress from French designer Depeche. This one is a mid-length style with striped and the most amazing sleeves ever.
