I’m obsessed with the jumpsuit. Call it a romper, a playsuit, a jumper, a onesie--I like them all. At one point I was considering if we should only sell jumpsuits at Baba Yaga, but then decided that might be a little too specific.
One of the most perfect jumpsuits I’ve found is one made by Standard Issue NYC. It’s a unisex piece that works great on literally everyone--men, women, short, tall, young and old. In fact, I have never seen this piece not work for someone. It's both effortlessly modern and fashionably retro depending on how you wear it.
These jumpsuits can be worn casually with some kicks or simple slides. Or, they can be dressed up for work or an evening out with short boots or heels. Flip the collar up, roll up the cuffs, unbutton it with a t-shirt poking out underneath--so many options. You can wear the elastic waistband higher up on your waist or buy one size up and pull the waistband down for a more slouchy look.
At Baba Yaga we have these jumpsuits in a variety of colors and styles and in sizes from XS-XL. We have long jumpsuits in black, grey, striped, denim and tan. And, we also have a short version of the jumpsuit in denim that is great for summer.
And they are comfortable to wear! The fabrics have stretch and give to them so they move with you and aren't constraining. You really need to come in and try one on to really appreciate the magic. Even my mom could not resist!
In addition to the Standard Issue NYC jumpsuits, which are somewhat of a staple for us, we are always on the lookout for great vintage jumpsuits too! Currently we’ve got a 70’s denim jumpsuit with flared legs as well as 80’s baby soft brown corduroy jumpsuit that zips up the front. Since our vintage stock changes constantly we never know exactly what we might find in our travels so check back often to see what we get in!
