Baba Yaga

1950s Sheer Red and White Polka Dot Dress

$225

To be honest, it’s a little hard to part with this show stopper of a dress. Everything about it from the shape, to the big bow, and the poofy off-the-shoulder sleeves is just perfection. This 1950s gem was handmade with sheer, red and white polka dot fabric that floats from the large circle skirt attached at the waist. At the center of the chest sits a large bow, with puffy, gathered sleeves, a pointed and fitted waistline, elastic cuffs, an invisible zipper closure, and sweeping hemline.

*Note: The dress has some small holes on the skirt (pictured last). Not noticeable when worn due to the fullness and movement of the dress, but most visible by the zipper. Holes are about 1 cm in size.

Fit:

20” pit-to-pit

31” high-waist (measurements doubled, taught)

68” hips (measurements doubled)

16” shoulders (measured at back)

49” length

17.5 ft. skirt sweep

*photographed on a dress size 6/8 US*

Wearability: Although the material is sheer, the fullness of the skirt does provide a decent amount of coverage when worn with nude undergarments. In this photo, I am wearing a black sports bra and nude bike shorts and did not see my underwear at all while taking photos in the dress.
